The Incumbent Governor, Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has emerged winner of the Imo West Senatorial District election in the Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election.
INEC Returning Officer, Professor Ibeawuchi Innocent who announced the result said Okorocha scored 97,762 votes to lead his closest challenger Hon Jones Onyereri of PDP who polled 63,117 votes, followed by the APGA candidate Sen. Osita Izunaso who polled 30,923 votes.
However, the APGA candidate rejected the results of the Senatorial election, explaining that there were some discrepancies.
