Over the days, it’s been an absolute fight between the weather. Today it’s raining, tomorrow the sun is yearning to be seen and bursts out with quite an amazing heat temperature and it’s hard to unravel if it’s summer period again or the rainy season and well we know how Lagos is with its unpredictable weather conditions.

However, don’t worry, we’ve got you all covered to style you in just the perfect ways for the hot season and should the rain pours, you’re not wearing the wrong outfit. Below are some outfit inspirations.

During the heat season, it’s advisable to avoid a lot of clothes and stay hydrated. Below are some tips on how to style yourself for the hot days ahead.

  • – Avoid or reduce black outfits as black generates heat.
  • – Wear bright colors. White, yellow, green etc wouldn’t just make you cool but make you pop as well.

– It’s shorts/ knickers season. Yeah we’re all as happy as you are. However, wear shorts you’re comfortable in. Knee length and a little above the knee is just fine and well if you’ve got some lovely legs and have the confidence to wear a shorter length, then you can show some more. For thick ladies, knee length and a little below the knee is just perfect.

Shades for days. Dark shades could almost never go wrong in this season

– It’s Tan tops season as well. This however, is a bit tricky as anyone would want to wear it because of the raging heat but sadly, not everyone can. Body shapes and sizes determine if you can wear one or not. Don’t be sad, there are other outfits you can wear in place of tan tops. For example camisoles, bralets, white T-shirt’s or very light weighted shirts etc

We definitely didn’t forget that the rain pours have been present as well. So, here are some style tips on how to style yourself, in case there’s a downpour.
– Always carry an umbrella. Portable umbrellas is advised and could also complement your outfit when opened (get colorful ones/ plain ones)
– Always take along a sweatshirt, pullover, jacket or long sleeve shirt just in case. You don’t want to be left cold wearing just a tan top when it out of no where begins to pour. Just so you know, wearing a shirts around your waist is another fashion trend. So you’re safe.
