No fewer than 10 million Nigerians have participated in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
An update released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Wednesday showed that 10,487,972 has registered to get their permanent voters card as of 7 a.m., on July 4 since the commencement of the fresh voter registration on June 28, 2021.
INEC confirmed that 9,455,198 Nigerians have completed their registrations.
Of the figure, 3,314,169 registered online while 6,141,029 did physical registration.

In the gender breakdown, 4,682,036 of the registrants are males, 4,773,162 are females, 71,998 are Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)
Also, 6,698,446 are youths; 1,894,39 are middle age between 18 and 34 years.
A total of 758,300 are the elderly between 50 to 69 years; 104,056 are 70 years and above.
However, the commission has received 25,056,633 applications in general.
This includes voter transfer, requests for replacement of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and update of information, among others.
