Oyo Assembly approves nomination of Bayo Lawal as new Deputy Governor

Following the impeachment of Rauf Olaniyan as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, the State House of Assembly has approved the nomination of Barrister Bayo Lawal as the new replacement.

The former deputy of the state was impeached by the House, following the recommendation of the panel of inquiry set up to investigate him.

It was, however, gathered that the assembly has approved the nomination of Lawal, which was sent to the House by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The lawmakers approved the nomination of Lawal during their plenary in Ibadan.

The majority leader, Sanjo Adedoyin said that the nomination was in order.

Kazeem Olayanju, who also spoke, supported the nomination.
