The Baseball team, Padres changed their Twitter handle from @Padres to @Madres on Sunday.

It was a great idea as the San Diego Padres decided to go all out for this Mother’s Day to show all the moms of the world that they care.

At the urging of Budweiser, the MLB team changed their Twitter handle from @Padres to @Madres on Sunday.

However, there was one tiny problem. The Padres lost control of their old name — at least for a little bit.

A kid, Ricky Padilla snagged the @Padres account name for a few hours and went rogue.

Here’s a tweet from Kent Murphy that showed how hilarious the situation was;

The San Diego Padres changed their Twitter username to “Madres” for Mother’s Day, and some kid instantly changed his to “Padres”

Padilla’s friend Henry Breems was in on the joke and asked, “Yo @Padres … how many retweets for a couple of tickets behind the plate??”

“One, and you’ve got two behind the dish,” Padilla responded.

However, the Padres realized the costly mistakes they made and seemed to realize the situation they’d gotten themselves into just before they got things back under control.
