Pakistan Accuses India of Plotting Fresh Military Attack

Amid high tensions in Indian-administered Kashmir following a car bomb, Pakistan shot down an Indian fighter jet.

Although India has dismissed Pakistanis accusations, Pakistan says that it has reliable intelligence a military attack is being planned to be executed this month by India.

Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi made the comments on Sunday.

When Pakistan-based militants killed Indian troops in Indian-administered Kashmir, relations between the two countries have seriously dwindled.

India responded with air strikes on what it said was a militant training camp in Pakistani territory.

Not too long after, an Indian jet in Pakistan-administered Kashmir was shot down while its pilot was captured although he was handed back to India days after.

On Sunday, the Pakistani foreign minister said his country had intelligence to suggest Indian attack after tension seemed to have loosened after the clashes.

Mr Qureshi told reporters, “There are chances of another aggression against Pakistan and according to our information this action can take place between April 16 and 20.”

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistanis foreign minister said that UN Security Council was made aware of the alleged plans.

The foreign minister said he made the allegations “with responsibility”, arguing the aggression aimed to raise “diplomatic pressure” against his country.

To protest “India’s plans,” Pakistan has also summoned India’s Deputy high commissioner.

India responded with foreign officer spokesman Raveesh Kumar saying that Pakistan had a clear goal of stirring up war hysteria in the region.

“This public gimmick appears to be a call to Pakistan-based terrorists to undertake a terror attack in India,” the spokesman said.

“India rejects the irresponsible and preposterous statement by the Foreign Minister of #Pakistan intended to whip up war hysteria in the region. This public gimmick appears to be a call to Pakistan-based terrorists to undertake a terror attack in India. http://mymea.in/dzy”
