About the job
- The PHP Developer will be responsible for overseeing back-end services and data transfer between the server and users.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of the server-side logic, the establishment and upkeep of the central database, as well as guaranteeing high speed and quick response to front-end requests.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by other developers into the application.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product, devOps, customer success, UX/UI design and senior leaders to optimize performance and customer experience.
- Develop, test, integrate and refine website/software/application/program code.
- Lead and manage the development team to ensure deadlines are met with quality deliveries.
- Ensure high levels of performance and security for company and user information.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate for this role should be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 3-5 Years knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Yii, Laravel, and CodeIgniter. Laravel experience is mandatory for this particular role.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ Microservice experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience developing REST APIs with Laravel framework
- Proven track record of building batch processing application using PHP/Laravel.
- Advanced SQL experience, most notably MySql, Postgress or MS SQL Server.
- Ability to build CLI applications with PHP.
- Experience in deploying into cloud native environments particularly Kubernetes.
- Experience with scripting environments such as bash scripts on LINUX.
- Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Previous experience creating scalable applications.
- Proficient in sprint planning, estimation, time management, and communicating status.
- Ability to project manage.
- Good problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience with Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and REST APIs
- Experience with PHP
- Meaningful web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript
- Comfortable working on small, cross-functional, fast paced teams
- Excellent communication skills
