A Saudia Airlines pilot was constrained to make a U-Turn after a mother abruptly recalled that she had forgotten her child in the airplane terminal.
Yahoo Lifestyle reported that the Kuala Lumpur-bound flight did a U-Turn and made its way backed to the airport terminal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
While citing the Gulf News, Yahoo noted that the hysterical mother told the crew that she had unintentionally abandoned her baby in the boarding zone of the terminal.
Yahoo noted that a subsequent conversation between the Saudia Airlines pilot and air traffic control revealed the pilot as saying, “May God be with us. Can we come back or what?
“This flight is requesting to come back. A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”
The flight in the end came back to the airplane terminal in Jeddah.
Portraying it as “a totally new” experience, airport regulation conceded the flight authorization to return, and the mother was finally allowed to fetch her baby.
