About the job
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers of autoparts. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of auto-parts.
- Generate purchase orders based on inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production schedules. Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including item descriptions, quantities, pricing, and delivery instructions.
- Work closely with the inventory management team to maintain optimal levels of autoparts inventory. Monitor inventory levels, track usage patterns, and identify opportunities to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure that all auto-parts meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct periodic quality audits of auto-parts inventory to identify and address any quality issues.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors Degree or its equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on autopart purchases.
- Strong knowledge of autoparts market, suppliers, and industry trends.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
