RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and implementing production plans according to business and market demands.
- Managing human and material resources to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations within the plant.
- Assessing and improving operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission.
- Maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
- Preparing and maintaining production reports and personnel records.
- Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and infrastructure to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.
- Keeping an eye on product availability and modifying production as necessary to prevent excessive production.
- Creating production schedules based on demand projections in order to meet consumer demands.
- Work with quality assurance, logistics, and other personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred. A higher degree can be advantageous.
- Certifications such as Certified Production and Inventory Management are highly regarded.
- Extensive experience, typically 5 or more years, in a manufacturing environment is crucial, with proven supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing software, statistical methods and data analysis, and quality assurance protocols.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to handle high pressure and critical decision-making scenarios efficiently.
