Profile: David Robert Beckham

David Robert Joseph Beckham is an English retired professional footballer and a current president of inter Miami CF. He hails from Leytonstone, London, united kingdom and was born on 2nd may 1975. He is 6ft0 tall.

He  played for Manchester united(1992-2003{203 appearances and 62 goals}), Preston North End(1994-1995{loan. 5 appearances and 2 goals}), Real Madrid(2003-2007{116 appearances and 13 goals}), Milan(2009-2010{loan. 18 appearances and 2 goals), LA Galaxy(2007-2012{98 appearances and 18 goals}), Paris Saint-Germain(2013{10 appearances and 0 goals}) and the English national team. He is the first English player to win the league titles in four countries; England, Spain, the United States& France. He also holds the record of an ‘outfield’ player until 2016. He retired in May 2013 after a 20 year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

He is married to top designer, Victoria Beckham and has four children. In his football career years, he was a midfielder. David, after his years as a footballer, he is now a businessman, model and a spokesperson. He is linked with organizations as UNICEF and malaria no more. In 2017, he was said to own a net worth of 450 million dollars.

Beckham’s professional club career began with Manchester United where he made his first team debut in 1992 at age 17. With impetuous skills and great team work, his rise to fame was with no doubt. With Manchester United, David won the premier league title six times, the FA cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He played four seasons with Real Madrid, winning the La Liga championship in his final season with the club. He was the first British footballer to play 100 UEFA champions league.

Recognized for his range of passing, crossing ability and bending free kicks as a right-winger, Beckham was runner up in the Ballon d’or, twice runner-up for FIFA world player of the year and in 2004 was named by Pele in the FIFA 100 list 0f the world’s greatest living players. He was inducted into the English football hall of fame in 2008; a global ambassador for the sports, he is regarded as a British cultural icon.
