About the Role:

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new product development project for our groundbreaking application.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software that aligns with customer expectations while driving optimal ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of the new product development project, utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure efficient delivery and adaptation to changing requirements.
  • Agile Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, championing Agile methodologies within the software technical team and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
  • Timeline Management: Develop, monitor, and maintain project timelines, ensuring the team adheres to milestones and deadlines while maintaining a high level of software quality.
  • ROI Focus: Drive the team to achieve optimal ROI by closely tracking project progress, identifying risks and opportunities, and making data-driven decisions to ensure the project’s value proposition is met.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the software technical team, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional cooperation to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact between the technical team and the customer, effectively managing customer expectations, providing regular updates, and ensuring their requirements are accurately translated into actionable tasks.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working with team members to develop contingency plans and minimize potential roadblocks.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including status reports, project plans, and meeting minutes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements by analysing project outcomes, soliciting team feedback, and implementing strategies to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software development projects, ideally within the Financial Services Industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) with hands-on experience in applying Agile practices to manage projects.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering value, meeting project objectives, and driving ROI.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in navigating challenges inherent to software development projects.
  • Optional: Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus..
