About the job

  • The specific purpose of the position is to manage implementation of effective and efficient operational, financial and compliance activities to deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations, company policies, Group Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines and client rules and regulations.
  • The position periodically contributes to the development of policies, processes and procedures that align with best practice in project management.
  • This position is meant for a candidate that has an arsenal of excellent ideas on how to increase profit and improve efficiency in the company while managing the overall operations effectively.
  • We require a result-driven individual, who never sees obstacles as a reason to stop, but as a motivation to keep striving to reach the intended goal.

Broad Job Descriptions

  • Develop effective strategies to improve overall operations through data analysis with a keen eye on organisation’s needs and goals.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to day running of the business garments
  • Monitoring and supervising the workforce to ensure that all productions are completed safely, on schedule, to the required quality and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to exploit them in favour of the company through research.
  • Evaluate and contribute to the organisation’s financial growth by providing useful insights and optimising processes
  • Serve as the first line of quality assurance by ensuring that standards are met in the factory through regular inspections.

The Desired Profile of the Candidate

  • Our most suitable candidate will possess:
  • Great interpersonal and excellent communication skills to communicate clearly with employees and other stakeholders in terms of negotiations, relating complex information and addressing conflicts or concerns.
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • Great critical thinking, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide pragmatic solutions to challenging situations in the company
  • In-depth knowledge of business processes and functions such as finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.
  • The ability to use collaboration and delegation tools
  • Proficiency in the use of business tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint as well as other industry software.

Nice to have, but not deal-breakers:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Proven experience working as a general manager in a garment manufacturing factory.
  • PMP and HSE professional certifications
