Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
- Perform tests and measurements on construction materials and components to assess their quality, durability, and performance.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential quality issues and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related concerns and develop effective solutions.
- Document and report non-conformities, deficiencies, and deviations from quality standards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their adherence to quality requirements and contractual obligations.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in quality control techniques and technologies.
- Maintaining high standards of quality for all processes
- Coordinating and supervising the testing by field teams in supervision and certification of construction in accordance with Contract conditions including acceptance standards of materials, approval of source supply, compliance to establishing QA/QC procedures, supervising setting up laboratories, mix designs
- Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other QA/QC documents
- Being responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, Nonconformance Report, NCR, and Site Instruction.
- Accountable for the quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of civil engineering construction
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools, equipment, and software applications.
- Relevant certifications are desirable.
