Job Purpose
- To provide assurance on quality systems across the company’s businesses, establishing controls, verifying input materials, their suppliers and processes that meet world – class standards at FC outlets
Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
Food Quality Standards
- Implementation of the raw materials quality Assurance Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other raw materials at the outlets and PPUs’
- Perform and document processes/corrective action, including follow-up monitoring to gauge the quality of the raw materials and output of production
- Ensure strict conformity to Food Safety standards, cGMP, GHP, and GLP and production procedures at all times to meet set quality standards
- Ensure usage and storage standardization of all chemicals, media and reagents as stipulated in the work instruction manual
- Prompt reporting of all substandard raw materials and production outputs
- Ensure strict compliance on the use of PPE and conformity to Food Safety standards, OHS, and Environmental Management Standard
Food Analysis
- Conduct testing of all raw materials and packaging materials to specifications before usage in the stores
- Conduct of analysis on all fresh consignments supplied to outlet warehouse for sampling for quality integrity conformity
- Carry out periodic spot checks on production processes and raw materials before clearance for use or sales
- Perform analytical tests in the laboratory as assigned by the HSE/QA Manager and immediately report any problems with tests, equipment or results
- Perform laboratory administrative duties by receiving stocks from vendors or suppliers
- Keep recording of analytical results in the appropriate log book and liaise with relevant regulatory authorities when required
- Ensure production and work areas are clean and organized
- Perform routine check-ups and maintenance of lab equipment and monitor the status of food supplies
Key Performance Indicators
- Number of Production output complains
- Number of regulatory defaults relating to quality of environmental compliances
- Percentage of production conformance to pre-set quality standards
- Accuracy of quality assurance reports
- Quality of vendor supply materials received
- Turnaround time for analysis
- Percentage of result precision and record keeping
- Number of customer complaints
Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of quality assurance policies and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
- Knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of QSR/Food Industry processes
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Natural/Physical Science or Manufacturing management is required.
- Possession of any relevant certification such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role
