Remi Tinubu is from Delta, ex-NHRC boss Odinkalu says

A former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, has said Senator Oluremi Tinubu hails from Delta State, describing her as “a beneficiary of Nigeria’s integration.”

Odinkalu wrote this on his Twitter page while reacting to a trending video showing the wife of the ruling All Progressives Congress National Leader accusing Igbo of not voting for President Muhammadu Buhari during the February 23 presidential and National Assembly elections.

The activist expressed surprise that the senator representing Lagos Central at the Senate could “sink this low.”

Meanwhile, in a video which has since gone viral, Mrs. Tinubu, who is the wife of APC stalwart, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is seen exchanging words with a physically challenged Igbo man, accusing his tribe of failing the APC.

The incident comes during allegations that the APC sponsored violence within communities dominated by Igbo in a bid to prevent them from voting for the Peoples Democratic Party.

It is reported that out of the 20 local government areas in Lagos State, five are said to have high Igbo voting population, they include: Surulere, Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Ojo, Amuwo Odofin and Oshodi/Isolo.
