Job Summary
- This role will implement activities to generate sales, improve revenue growth, profitability and impact for Summit Healthcare Pharma Ltd.
- This role is critical to building strong relationships and providing the highest level of support thereby contributing to the creation of long-term value and success of the company.
- The role will oversee the organization’s sales objectives and initiatives in relation to its Pharmaceutical Business line.
- The role will have responsibility under the guidance of the Chief Business Development Officer, to set short- and long-term sales strategies, evaluate effectiveness of current sales programmes and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
Responsibilities
Sales (45%):
- Achieve sales goals in terms of generating sales of the company’s product offering.
- Support the assessment, development, and presentation of appropriate products and service solutions to clients and prospects.
- Pursue new opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Implement sales strategies to meet annual unit and gross-profit plans.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Implement organizational sales programmes by developing, executing and maintaining a field sales action plan.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping up to date with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
- Provide on-the-ground support for sales representatives and sales partners/sub-dealers as they generate leads and close new deals by participating in orders, facilitating and adding value to the selling process.
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key clients
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports of sales to line manager and Management as needed.
- Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, products and services and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts
- Conduct informed sales visits to prospective customers to present the company’s value proposition as it relates to their company and needs.
- Analyze data and estimate demand for services, identifying potential markets and devise plans to deliver the appropriate sales message.
Relationship Management (20%):
- Develop relationships with businesses, networks and groups to promote the organization and its services with a view to closing deals.
- Call on prospects (i.e., emails, phone calls, and in person visits) to qualify prospects for fit with our product offerings and to schedule appointments.
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them.
- Maintain data relative to partners, accounts and activities and document customer interactions.
Marketing (15%):
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and ensure that any directly relevant information is communicated to key stakeholders.
- Plan and execute events (public awareness campaigns, media and publicity campaigns, staff annual function and social responsibility projects) linked to achievement of sales in coordination with Management.
Line Management (15%):
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales programme accordingly.
- Manage, develop, coach and motivate the sales team to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI targets are met.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies.
- Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
- Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict.
Others (5%):
- Represent the company and present its product offering to potential or existing customers during events such as conferences, seminars, client events etc.
- Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related field preferably in the Social Sciences.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years’ experience in sales is required.
- 1 year experience in customer service an added advantage.
