Sanwo-Olu names Tayo Bamgbose-Martins as new physical planning commissioner

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the redeployment of the former Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Bamgbose-Martins’s redeployment followed the resignation of the former commissioner, Salako, on Monday, September 5, after the collapse of a seven-storey building on Victoria Island.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, announced this on Wednesday in Alausa, Ikeja.

He said, “I am here to tell you that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has redeployed Tayo Bamgbose-Martins as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

“He is to replace Idris Salako, who resigned. So, Bamgbose-Martins is coming into a new realm of experience coming from the Ministry of Special Duties.

“Bamgbose-Martins is an astute civil engineer with over 33 years of professional experience as a public servant.”
