Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments, and maintain accurate health records for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support students with specific health needs.
- Develop and implement health care plans for students with special needs.
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Monitor and respond to health emergencies, ensuring swift and appropriate care.
- Promote a healthy school environment by identifying and addressing potential health hazards.
- Serve as a resource for students, staff, and parents on health-related issues.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Lagos State
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Prior experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing (preferred).
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services.
