The Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon David Olusegun Odunmbaku, on Wednesday handed over a newly purchased patrol vehicle to Alausa Police Station.
The gesture is part of his commitment to protect and secure the lives and properties of Ojodu residents and ensure increased security presence in the environs.
According to him, the presentation of the patrol vehicle would give the Police the additional aid to effectively execute the duty of containing crime in the Council area.
It would be recalled that Odunmbaku had during his 100 days in office celebration presented patrol vehicles to Ojodu, Pen Cinema and Area G Police Divisions.
The Divisional Police Officer, Alausa, W/CSP. Opadola O. Elizabeth, described the intervention of the Council boss by presenting the vehicle as a relief to the Police Station. She said that the provision of the vehicle will help make the mobility of her officers seamless.
Present at the presentation of the vehicle were the Secretary to the Council, Hon Olaide Bello, the Council Head of Administration, Engr. Dele Abayomi, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ojodu Chapter Chairman, Engr. Abolore Rufai, Principal Executive Officer, Mrs. Obada Fisayo, the Council’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Akinola Williams, the Special Adviser on Women and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Mrs. Folake Adams, Honourable Councillor Ward E Ojodu, Hon. Lekan Peters and Head Legal Unit, Barr. Afolabi Kalejaiye Esq.
