Send COVID19 protocol violators to Infectious disease hospital Yaba – Dr. Bella Nifemi

A Nigerian medical doctor has suggested to the Lagos state government that all persons arrested for violating the COVID19 protocols in the state be sent on community service to the Infectious Disease Hospitals.

Dr Bella Nifemi gave the advice after men of the Lagos state police command arrested 237 COVID19 violators at different clubs in the state over the weekend.

Dr Bella who is a frontline worker and has treated a number of COVID19 patients wrote “Dear @jidesanwoolu @ProfAkinAbayomi @LSMOH  I want the punishment for those violating Covid-19 rules, especially those arrested at clubs to be community service at IDH Yaba, let them come and be pushing oxygen cylinders into the wards and assist with moving bodies to the morgue. They will see the real situation firsthand and become the preacher when they return home. Kindly put this into consideration. Thank you Dr Nifemi for #agreaterlagos #COVID19 #secondwave #maskup”
