Job Overview:
- We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated ESG Consultant tjoin our team.
- The ideal candidate will possess professional certifications in ESG reporting standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and hold a first degree with at least a 2.1 classification.
- The ESG Consultant will play a critical role in helping our clients develop and implement effective Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and reporting mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
ESG Strategy Development:
- Work with clients tdevelop comprehensive ESG strategies that align with their business objectives and industry standards.
- Identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities relevant tclients’ operations.
ESG Reporting and Disclosure:
- Prepare and review ESG reports in accordance with recognized standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, IFRS).
- Ensure accurate and transparent ESG disclosures tstakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement processes tgather input and feedback on ESG performance.
- Communicate ESG strategies and performance tinternal and external stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with evolving ESG regulations and standards.
- Ensure clients’ ESG practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret ESG data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data to support the development of sustainable business practices.
Training and Capacity Building:
- Provide training and capacity-building support tclients’ staff on ESG topics and best practices.
- Develop educational materials and conduct workshops.
Client Management:
- Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Deliver high-quality consulting services and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- A first degree with at least a 2.1 classification in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration).
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration).
Professional Certifications:
- Must hold professional certifications in recognized ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG consulting or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing ESG strategies and reports.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability tmanage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
