Senior Financial Analyst at Wemy Industries Limited

Job Brief 

  • Preparing and analyzing finance-based assessments across various roles within the accounting space (industry standard)
  • Performing periodic reviews and evaluations of the database’s quality, cogency, and structure and making strategic recommendations.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in the accounting space globally.
  • Noting the feedback of the candidate’s experience of the assessments and making necessary adjustments
  • Developing reports, tools, and Excel dashboards for reporting, and analyzing candidates’ experience.
  • Identifying investment opportunities and studying risk factors
  • Preparing documentation to help startups in getting funds.
  • Creating financial models (often in Excel) to inform strategies and forecasts.
  • Work on special projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Must be a tech enthusiast.
  • Good understanding of trends, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the technology sector
  • Good data-gathering, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Must have a first-class or 2.1.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, and ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Should have 4 – 7 years of relevant work experience as a financial Analyst in the Tech industry.

 Job Proficiency

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools. (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic accounting packages and systems knowledge, including SAP, Sage, and QuickBooks.
