About the job

  • To drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities, addressing customer needs, and achieving targets.
  • The Senior Sales Representative/ Engineer will prepare offers, manage bids, oversee product delivery, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand customer needs.
  • Address customer inquiries both within the showroom and through onsite visits.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare sales offers and quotations, including all relevant technical information.
  • Offer appropriate pricing to customers.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and related reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of all sales-related documents.
  • Oversee the delivery and installation of sold products to customers.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all technical requirements for bids and tenders.
  • Track sales performance metrics and provide detailed reports on sales activities and results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Mentor and support junior sales representatives.
  • Assist in preparing for and attending industry exhibitions to promote company products and services.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience within a similar industry.
  • Experience in the African market is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • This role involves indoor and outdoor environments, including outdoor inspections and site surveying to facilitate product delivery and assess and implement customized requirements.
