Service Technician – Power Tools at Bosch Group

Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for repairing, maintain and calibrating power tools
  • Carry out maintenance using provided Service Information System Software
  • Troubleshoot, identify needed parts and fix tools independently
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings – Mechanical and Electrical
  • Repair heavy duty hammers up to 27kg

  • Precision in tool repairs
  • Workbench organization and housekeeping
  • Proper documentation and record keeping
  • Low level of returned job

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Minimum of secondary school leaving certificate (SSCE).

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role.

SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings – Mechanical and Electrical
  • Good knowledge of workshop process and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify the needed parts and fix the tools independently
  • Maintenance knowledge of Measuring tools and Calibration is required – Rotation Laser and Optical Level
  • Ability to repair heavy duty hammers up to 27kg
  • Ability to use provided Service Information System Software in carrying out maintenance
  • Attention to details is very important
  • Ability to exercise patience and discipline with customers

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to be a problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and oral
  • Ability to speak other native languages like Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa is an added advantage
  • Good Computer knowledge, with specific knowledge of Ms. Excel
