What does the role entail?
As a Study Abroad Assistant General Manager your main duties will include:

  • Establishing effective working relationships with partners to foster collaboration and cooperation
  • Negotiating contracts with new partners to ensure they comply with company standards
  • Providing training and support to new partner recruits to ensure they are able to effectively sell the company’s products or services
  • Monitoring partner performance to ensure they are meeting sales quotas and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Motivating and coaching partner employees to help them meet their goals
  • Evaluating the performance of existing channel partners, suggesting improvements where necessary
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with partners to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Developing new sales channels through strategic partnerships with distributors, resellers, and retailers
  • Monitoring competitor activity in the industry to identify opportunities for market share growth
  • Understanding the issues & challenges faced by channel partners & communicate with the team to help them resolve them
  • Assisting with activities to promote universities represented by the company
  • Working on timely reporting to the General manager
  • Monitoring and developing reports on competitor activity in various spaces
  • Suggesting and implementing new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Supporting and overseeing key events including open days, pre-departure conferences and study abroad fairs;
  • Manage student applications, spreadsheets, files and confidential student data with high degree of accuracy and efficiency, confidentiality and in accordance with Privacy legislation
  • Provide administrative support to the team across all branches schedule meetings and appointments and general office duties.
  • Manage the team and delegate the tasks.
  • Meet Allotted Team targets (Leads, Applications & Visas) and contribute in developing a strong & efficient counseling team
  • Resolve escalations and ensure a smooth student journey
  • Conduct Training sessions & help build a world-class team of counselors
  • Maintain high Satisfaction Ratings and Report & Data Management
  • Implement Organizational Values, Goals & objectives within the team
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to achieve set targets
  • Pipeline forecast & Management.

Required Candidate Profile

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree.
  • The candidate should be from Counseling Industry (Mandatory)
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in Counselling in overseas education.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least 2 countries ( USA / UK / Australia/Canada/ Ireland)
  • Sound Understanding of various courses, admissions process, Visa process, and career options across various disciplines
  • Experience in Shortlisting universities based on student profiles & preferences
  • 2 – 3+ years of experience in leading a team of counselors ( Ideally 3 – 5+)
  • Experience in working with CRMs ( such as Zoho, Salesforce, etc..) is desirable.
  • Excellent in written and spoken communication with the ability to present to large audiences
  • Previous Stakeholder Management Experience (Good to have and will be preferred)
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Expertise in time management, analytical and organizational skills along with prior experience in Team Management
  • Experience of owning a P&L of a Branch / Team
  • Experience in working with external partners or Sub-agents
  • Experience in conducting webinars / Road Shows / Seminars.
