In announcing this, the head of Media & Communications, Mr Akorede Ogunnaike Brown, listed some of the events lined up for the historic celebration, which includes a youth symposium and several engagement programs in partnership with companies such as Keynols Nig. Ltd. and Adedeji Awolola Foundation, marking the commencement of activities from Tuesday 20th September.

Activities would continue the next day, Wednesday 21st, September, as the Executive Chairman rolls out more empowerment programmes for artisans, elderly and other members of the community, while later seeing to the commissioning of some projects across the 6wards in Ojodu LCDA.

The second edition of the administration’s “Breakfast Meeting” with the Organized Private Sector, Civil Society Organizations and Non Governmental Organizations on Thursday 22nd September,2022 will mark the grand finale of events, symbolizing the chairman’s promise of an all-inclusive administration.

The 3(Three) day event is designed to celebrate the many milestone-achievements accomplished by the D.O.S. administration and update members of the community on how far his H.E.Y.S. mission has come since assuming office.

According to him,  several initiatives have been put in place through his HEYS agenda (Health, Education, Youths empowerment and Social infrastructure) to achieve this.

The council Boss stated this in a goodwill message while addressing participants at the WaterAid and Kimberly-Clark Sanitation and Hygiene Improvement Project event held at the Amber Residence, Ikeja on Wednesday, 15th June 2022.

He said: “Our administration has been relentless at uplifting the living standards of the citizens through the HEYS agenda (Health, Education, Youths empowerment and Social infrastructure) as our focal driving factors.”

“As our foremost agenda, and going by the mantra “Health is Wealth”, this administration holds the Health and wellbeing of our people dearly to our heart. This prompted us to embark on the overhauling, rehabilitation and upgrading of the Seven (7) Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) within the LCDA. Three of them on completion and upgrade will provide 24-hours services with availability of competent personnel and world-class medical equipment.”

While thanking partners and donors for supporting his administration said the projects would give people the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits that the project provides, such as the availability of handwashing facilities and hygiene kits in public facilities such as schools, community centres, and primary healthcare centres.
