The White House has asked a federal judge to order former national security adviser John Bolton to stop the publication of his upcoming book on his White House tenure, arguing that Bolton will be breaching a contract he signed with the Trump administration and was risking the exposure of classified information if he released the book.

The White House also claims Bolton will be revealing National security information with the release of the book scheduled for June 23.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday evening in Washington, DC, federal court, alleges that Bolton’s 500-plus page manuscript was “rife with classified information,” and that Bolton backed out of an ongoing White House vetting process for the book that he’d been obligated to do as a result of agreements he’d signed.

“(Bolton) struck a bargain with the United States as a condition of his employment in one of the most sensitive and important national security positions in the United States Government and now wants to renege on that bargain by unilaterally deciding that the prepublication review process is complete and deciding for himself whether classified information should be made public,” prosecutors write.

Bolton was fired last year by Trump for allegedly pressuring the billionaire businessman to go into a war with Iran and North Korea. After his sack, he then revealed plans of writing a tell-all book of his time at the White House, which Trump claims is an infringement of the non-disclosure agreement he signed before being employed.

The Trump White House has issued a formal threat to former national security adviser John Bolton to keep him from publishing his upcoming new book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir”.

Bolton, according to a manuscript of his new book released by New York Times said he will be willing to testify if subpoenad by the Senate in the ongoing senate trial of US president Donald Trump.

In Bolton’s new book it is alleged that he said Trump was willing to tie $391m worth of military aid to Ukraine in exchange for opening investigations into Political rival Joe Biden.

Trump, said he will be exerting Executive privilege on Bolton to stop him from testifying in the senate and on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Bolton, accusing him of lying to sell his book, and now it has been revealed that the White House has warned Bolton from publishing the book saying it contains details that will affect ‘national security’.

In a letter to Bolton’s lawyer, a top official at the National Security Council wrote the unpublished manuscript of Bolton’s book “appears to contain significant amounts of classified information” and couldn’t be published as written.

The letter, which is dated January 23, said some of the information was classified at the “top secret” level, meaning it “reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave harm to the national security.” “The manuscript may not be published or otherwise disclosed without the deletion of this classified information,” the letter read.

The nuclear talks between North Korea and he United States will resume this weekend as North Korean officials have agreed to meet with United states government officials.

This comes weeks after former US National Security adviser, John Bolton, was sacked by Donald Trump on Twitter for his differences with the US president on North Korea, Afghanistan and Iran.

Citing a statement issued by North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, KCNA reported the two countries will make preliminary contact on Friday before sitting down for working-level talks Saturday.

Choe said “The delegates of the DPRK side are ready to enter into the DPRK-U.S. working-level negotiations,” Choe said in the statement, according to Reuters. The foreign minister used North Korea’s official name, which is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). It is my expectation that the working-level negotiations would accelerate the positive development of the DPRK-U.S. relations,”.

United States President Donald Trump acted swiftly and very responsively after Iran shot down a United States Navy drone over a key strait in the Middle East, a former top National Security Council official told Fox News Thursday.

Former NSC chief of staff Fred Fleitz told “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” that Trump does not want war with Iran but is not afraid to defend American interests,

“I don’t want a war with Iran,” Fleitz said. “I know that this president was elected to get us out of wars and not to start new wars. The president was right to pull us out of the fraudulent nuclear deal with Iran.

“But the use of force is on the table if Iran threatens our interests.”

Fleitz, who also served as chief of staff to current National Security Adviser John Bolton, claimed that some observers believe that they can fault the President if Iran uses violence in response to the U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear accord.

“There’s people saying right now [that] the president is responsible if Iran responds with violence because we withdrew from that deal,” he said.

“That is a fraudulent argument. We don’t stay in an agreement because the other party threatens to respond with violence. The president has responded with restraint. He has given [Iran] an opportunity to deescalate the situation, and I think he handled it right today.”

The former CIA analyst added that the Donald Trump administration beefed up American forces in the Middle East because he wants to defend American interests, not go on the offensive.

“It doesn’t mean that the president’s going to do this, but the president can’t ignore clear intelligence that Iran is planning to respond with violence to his policies,” Fleitz said. “This president is not going to give in to blackmail but he does not want to use force if he doesn’t have to.”
