The rapper took to his Instagram page on Thursday and he shared a video and a message dedicated to Naira Marley.

He posted “People can hate and judge! But can never change GOD’s plan concerning ones LIFE !!! If our creator should act with how powerful he his !! Non of us will be alive !! Despite our iniquities! Life for easy if to say he come with manual !! Nai am out here representing the street! Till whenever. I love you not because you my friend alone but because I was A MARLIAN BEFORE I STARTED MUSIC ?”

This afternoon the EFCC paraded Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and some other suspects before the press. According to the EFCC, the music stars and three others whose name are Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses, and Abubakar Musa were arrested for their alleged involvement in cyber crimes.

The EFCC released a photo on their official page with an official statement “Naira Marley, Four Others Quizzed by EFCC over Internet Fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, arrested two fast-rising Nigerian musicians – Afeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley) and Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael (aka Zlatan), in connection with an alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering. Intelligence report had also linked them to cybercrime offenses. They were arrested along with: Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses, and Abubakar Musa. Their arrest followed an early morning raid on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 9, Gbangbola Street, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos. At the point of arrest, the Commission found and recovered a number of items, including laptops, from the suspects. They have so far volunteered useful information about their involvement in the alleged criminal activities, even as investigations continue”

The spokesperson of the EFCC has revealed that Naira Marley was arrested because of his involvement in advance fee scam and other related cyber crimes.

Mr Tony Orilade, in an interview with Premium Times, said, “Yes, he is with us. He’s not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside. They were arrested in relation to advance fee fraud — Internet-related cases and all of that. Give me a little time and I will get you the details.”

According to Premium Times , Naira Marley has been arrested by EFCC and is being questioned. At the time of this report, we can’t say this is why he was arrested or what exactly he is being questioned for as the EFCC is yet to release any statement concerning the arrest of Naira Marley.

It should be noted that few weeks ago, Naira Marley was trending on the Internet after making a comments suggesting he is in support of Internet fraudsters (Yahoo Yahoo Boys.)
