During the platform’s launch in Abuja, Governor Godwin Emefiele expressed the CBN’s determination to achieve a 95 percent Financial Inclusion target by the following year.

Emefiele emphasized that “SabiMoni” would play a significant role in driving this goal, as numerous members of the Nigerian public are expected to embrace the platform.

Furthermore, Emefiele assured that the CBN would promptly address the ongoing dispute between Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) and telecommunication companies regarding the distribution of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) income.

He acknowledged the importance of USSD as a crucial tool for promoting Financial Inclusion and emphasized that any disruptions to its services due to disagreements over income sharing between banks and telecommunication companies would not be tolerated.
