An Ohio detective who was shot twice in the face while serving a drug-related warrant on Monday has died, police said Thursday.

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Det. Jorge Del Rio who succumbed to a line of duty injury today,” the Dayton Police Department tweeted.

“Earlier today at Grandview Hospital, Det. Del Rio acted to save lives through the generous gift of organ donation.”

Del Rio, a 30-year veteran of the department, was shot while working with a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force, Police Chief Richard Biehl had said.

He was on life support in “grave condition” and had suffered injuries “that are tragically not survivable,” police had said.

Dayton police said detectives had knocked and announced themselves as law enforcement officers before entering a home Monday just before 7 p.m.

Del Rio was shot in the face as he started to go down basement stairs, police said.

A fellow officer rushed him to a hospital because his injuries were so severe, according to investigators.

No one else was injured. Police said four adults and a juvenile were “secured at the scene.” The four adults were being held on felony drug charges.

Cash, fentanyl and marijuana, along with three weapons each containing a 30-round magazine, were recovered from the scene, investigators said.

The suspected shooter, Nathan Goddard, 39, was charged with felonious assault on an agent, according to U.S. Attorney Dave DeVillers.

An Instagram travel influencer has defended herself after a hawk-eyed fan recently called out her photos for being a bit too picture-perfect, prompting the woman to admit that she edited them, but adding that she doesn’t understand what the fussy “big deal” is about.

Tupi Saravia of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has amassed a following of over 292,000 on Instagram, sharing glamorous snapshots of her exotic adventures all over the world. On Tuesday, one observant Twitter user called out the blogger after noticing that the cloudy sky featured in the background of a slew of recent photos was “spookily” the same across four images.

“This travel ‘influencer’ spookily has the same clouds in every photo,” Twitter user Matt Navarra, who lists himself as a “social media industry commentator and consultant” in his profile, wondered in a now-viral post which has since been liked over 25,000 times.

Whoops! We couldn’t access this Tweet.

In the screenshot, Navarra shared a four-part image of Saravia swimming, lounging oceanside, walking through a grassy field and steering a boat – all under the exact same clouds.

A ketchup thief deeply worried about bad karma may have been onto something after all.

In early August, a restaurant owner found two bottles of ketchup and a note at the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Forked River, N.J., that told a strange story. Someone had stolen a bottle of ketchup from the restaurant a few weeks earlier only to be hit with a string of bad luck. They were hoping to fix their karma by returning the ketchup (and a little extra).

The photo made headlines and, it turns out, may have worked.

According to the note, someone crashed into the ketchup thief’s car soon after taking the bottle (which reportedly kicked off the string of bad luck). This eventually prompted them to return two large bottles of Heinz Ketchup to the restaurant.

Apparently, Heinz found out about the story and tweeted out a message. “Reformed Ketchup Thief,” they began, “We get it, Heinz makes you do crazy things. In honor of your good Ketchup Karma, we’d love to help you with your car damages. DM us. We’ll keep your identity top secret.”

It may have taken a few days, but it looks like the reformed thief’s karma is back in order.

Heinz followed up their original tweet with the message, “Great News! We found the Reformed Ketchup Thief. Thank you to all who helped get the word out.”

Meanwhile, the restaurant’s manager, Charlene Reebe, told the NY Post that she forgives the customer and claimed that she would “hire her in a second.”

“Because if you do something like that, you’re not an awful person,” she told the Post. “You’re an honest person.”

A Holocaust survivor, Eva Kor, who founded the CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Educational Center in Indiana, passed on very peacefully on Thursday during her annual trip to Poland. She was 85 years old.

Kor, a Jewish native of Romania, was sent to the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944, where most of her family was killed.

Kor and her twin sister, Miriam Mozes Zeiger, survived but were subjected to terrible medical experiments by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele before they were rescued in 1945.

ZeigerlLoss her life in June 1993.

A longtime resident of Terre Haute, Indiana, Kor always talked about forgiveness, even to the Nazis who brutally tortured her and her sister.

She spent the past 40 years sharing her story with students, teachers, doctors, senators, historians and civic groups both nationally and internationally.

In 1995, Kor launched the CANDLES museum to prevent prejudice and hatred through education about the Holocaust. In 2003, the museum was destroyed by an arsonist. Kor vowed to rebuild and, with the public’s help, reopened the museum in 2005.

“Eva Kor has touched hundreds of thousands of people over her 85 years through her message of overcoming tragedy, finding forgiveness, and healing,” the CANDLES museum said in a statement. “We hope Eva’s story continues to change the lives of those who hear it for many years to come.”

Museum officials said the center will be closed until Tuesday in honor of Kor’s memory.

In 2017, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb awarded Kor the Sachem Award, the state’s highest honor.

Holcomb tweeted Thursday that “the world just lost a giant.”

“Everywhere she went, Eva brought light into darkness & provided comfort to those in pain, unlike anyone we’ve ever met. From her against all odds survival as a young girl in Auschwitz to her peace-spreading message based from home in Terre Haute, Indiana, her relentless and optimistic example inspired the world. Her angelic spirit will live on in the countless souls she saved from ongoing confusion and torment,” Holcomb tweeted.
