Expanding upon the initial roster of 28 nominees for ministerial roles, President Bola Tinubu made a decisive move on Wednesday by forwarding an additional 19 names to the Senate, initiating the screening process.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio took to the Senate floor to announce the newly presented names, following the assessment of the first set of nominees dispatched by the President in the preceding week.
Among the candidates featured in this second wave of nominations are four former governors and several other widely recognized political figures.
With the inclusion of these fresh 19 names, the total count of nominees has now surged to 47, following the initial selection of 28.
