Trailer falls on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, worsens traffic

A trailer has fallen on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and has worsened the recent traffic situation on the road.

Our correspondent saw, Tuesday morning, that the trailer was in a tumbled position on the Kara bridge.

A team of the Federal Road Safety Corps was already at the scene to salvage the situation.

But as of the time of filing this report, the traffic on the road from Berger was a point of concern for the many commuters as some passengers were already seen coming down of the commercial buses to find alternatives.

A source in the FRSC, who spoke with our correspondent noted that the incident happened this morning, adding that the Lagos team of the FRSC were being drafted to the scene.

The source in the FRSC further told our correspondent that the accident was as a result of speeding, compounded by the narrowed lanes on the road, adding that the incident occurred around 6:40 am.
