Professor Agboola Ibrahim Gambari has been confirmed as the new chief of staff President Muhammadu Buhari.
Gambari’s appointment was announced by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, at the Federal Executive Council virtual meeting on Wednesday.
Announcing the appointment in a tweet, Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to Buhari, tweeted: “President @MBuhari has appointed Professor Ibrahim Gambari, as his Chief of Staff, Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, announced the appointment today at the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting.”
Prof. Gambari, who is a former Minister of External Affairs, and an indigene of Kwara State was appointed to replace the late Abba Kyari who died on April 17 from coronavirus-related complications.
