Digital Specialist
Job Summary
- The Digital Specialist will develop and execute integrated digital strategies that enhance online engagement and brand awareness across multiple departments, including Bible Distribution, Human Resources, Church and Public Relations, and Guest Houses.
- This role is pivotal in driving traffic to our online platforms, optimizing our digital presence, and fostering positive relationships with our audience.
- The Digital Specialist will leverage data-driven insights to create cohesive marketing initiatives that meet the objectives of various departments while ensuring a consistent brand voice and maximizing return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy Development:
- Create and implement digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and engagement on the online store.
- Evaluate current social media platforms and recommend new channels for outreach, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.
- Develop and implement email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and encourage conversions.
Website Management:
- Manage and maintain the BSN website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
- Analyze website performance metrics and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Enhance online booking and payment processes to reduce friction and increase conversions.
Customer Engagement:
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and feedback across all digital platforms, fostering positive relationships and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Set targets for improving customer satisfaction scores and resolving objections promptly.
Performance Analysis:
- Track and report on key digital metrics (e.g., page views, engagement rates, and conversion rates) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future strategies.
- Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed of industry trends and benchmark performance against competitors.
- Analyze website analytics and social media metrics to understand visitor behavior and preferences.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute a social media plan to promote Bible products, Programs, Projects, Guest House rooms, and halls to increase brand mentions and grow follower engagement.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and engage with the audience through meaningful conversations.
- Monitor customer feedback on social media, responding to inquiries and complaints promptly.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with the Church and Public Relations Department to support fundraising initiatives and membership registration goals through targeted digital campaigns.
- Assist the Programs Department in creating promotional content for events and programs.
- Collaborate with HRMD and GHs to support their digital initiatives
- Work closely with the Content Creator to develop and publish engaging digital content that promotes BSN/BGH brands.
- Create a content calendar to plan and schedule posts in advance for consistency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and website optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with SEO, content management systems, and digital analytics tools.
Content Creator
Job Summary
- The Content Creator will be responsible for developing high-quality, engaging content that promotes our Bible products, Programmes, Projects, and guest houses and enhances our brand presence across digital platforms.
- This role focuses on creating compelling narratives and visual content that resonate with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development:
- Create engaging write-ups, short videos, and graphics that highlight the unique features of our Bible brands.
- Develop blog posts, articles, and social media content that reflect the organization’s mission and values.
- Develop a content marketing strategy that showcases the unique value proposition of the Bible Distribution, Fundraising, Programmes and guest house.
Collaboration:
- Work with the Digital Specialist to align content strategies with overall digital marketing goals.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.
- Engage with HRMD to design job advertisements and enhance the careers section of the website.
- Work with influencers in collaboration with CPRD to amplify the BSN brand and track the effectiveness of influencer marketing campaigns.
Brand Awareness:
- Increase brand mentions and user-generated content through strategic campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Church and Public Relations Department to create content that supports fundraising and membership registration objectives.
Social Media Engagement:
- Actively participate in conversations with followers and respond to comments and inquiries to foster community engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and develop content that aligns with current topics of interest among our audience.
- Execute a social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
Performance Tracking:
- Analyze the performance of content across platforms, tracking engagement metrics and reporting on insights to inform future content strategies.
- Conduct research to identify trending topics and incorporate them into content planning.
Event Coverage:
- Attend programs and events to gather content, including photos, testimonials, and video clips for promotional use.
- Create pre-, during-, and post-event content to maintain engagement and interest.
- Extract video clips from recordings for use in social media reels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in content creation, copywriting, and social media management.
- Strong storytelling abilities with a knack for creating visually appealing content.
- Proficient in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
Youth & Programme Assistant
Responsibilities
- Ensure the initiation, development, and implementation of relevant programmes that will make the Nigerian youths engage with the Word of God.
- Carry out projects and program activities initiated by BSN towards achieving its mission mandate.
- Carry out activities required for the implementation of youth-related projects and programmes in line with BSN operational direction.
- Work with the BSN stakeholders—area youth leaders and the secretaries (volunteers)—to facilitate to facilitate execution of different Bible competitions and engagements as scheduled annually.
- Ensure timely reporting of every programme implemented for further decision-making.
- Ensures relevant workshops and seminars are organized for area officers and youth leaders of churches and para-church organisations in pollaboration with the BSN internal stakeholders.
- Ensures a productive working relationship with Christian and secular youth organisations to make the Bible relevant among youths in Nigeria.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of cognate experience in youth-related programmes and projects from reputable organizations or NGOs.
- Must be creative and passionate about programmes and youth-related projects in line with the BSN mission and vision statements.
- Ability to develop and plan life-transforming programmes aimed at engaging the youths with the Holy Bible to achieve life transformation and biblical values orientation.
- Ability to identify and analyze society’s programme needs, write life-impacting projects/programmes and implement the same successfully.
- Ability to initiate, develop, and implement different youth-related programmes that will drive improved
- Scripture reading abilities among the Nigerian Christians.
- Good self-application, selfless, kind and considerate, assertive, and an excellent team player
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft, PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel.
Audit Assistant
Responsibilities
- Audit and report the activities of Bible Society of Nigeria and Bible Guet House pan Nigeria.
- Witness loading and off-loading of stock daily, as well as conduct stock taking at assigned locations.
- Review daily cash composition and report exceptions to the Audit Manager within 24 hours.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports of Lagos Territorial Distribution Officers and Bookshop Distribution to the Audit Manager.
- Documenting key exceptions identified by Internal Audit Division while vouching payments and retirement requests and submitting the report to the Audit Manager at the end of every month.
- Submit compiled report of observed and identified key exceptions during audit activities of the Societies operations to the Audit manager.
- Carry out an audit of the assigned process of any unit, division, or department in the Bible Society of Nigeria.
- Conduct audits of the location of interest of The Bible Society of Nigeria asassigned by the Audit Manager and submit reports within one week of completion of the assignment.
- Verify fixed assets of The Bible Society of Nigeria and Bible Guest House as may be assigned by the Audit Manager.
- Review requests for payments, cash advances, retirements, and imprest reimbursements as may be assigned by the Audit Manager.
- Ensure that other tasks assigned by the Audit Manager are completed in due course.
Requirements
- Education: Must have a minimum of a National Diploma in Accounting and/or ATS.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-year cognate experience in an Internal Audit or Finance Function in a reputable organization.
- Good and practical knowledge of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions or Sage 50.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Must possess a positive work ethic and a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality.
- Must be self-driven with ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a practicing and committed Christian with turning point testimonies and experiences.
