Business Development and Sales Officer
AGE RANGE: 25-30 YEARS
Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Develop strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance business growth.
- Expand the company\’s client base by prospecting, qualifying, and closing new deals.
- Prepare and present business proposals to prospective clients.
Sales Management:
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track progress using CRM tools.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
Market Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the management team on market opportunities andbusiness strategies.
- Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact the logistics business.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to the management team on sales and business development activities.
Qualifications
- A BSc or HND in any discipline with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in sales in a related field (e.g, e-commerce, logistics and supply chain, FMCG or real estate)
- Ability to identify logistical challenges and develop effective, efficient solutions.
- Experience in managing complex projects, including coordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Good communication skills – oral and written.
Relationship Management.
- Must have appropriate knowledge of inspection agents, Banks, shipping companies, and Terminals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office(primarily Excel and Word)
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
3PL Transport Operations Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enrol and secure dedicated trucks into the fleet\r\nfor month-on-month shipment.
- Manage at least 200 dedicated trucks. Build a pool\r\nof 1000 trucks, with 20% conversion into dedicated trucks (100)
- Provide strong partner development and support to\r\ntruckers to help them grow their business with DRYVA.
- Work jointly with Client Accounts / Order\r\nProcessing Team to ensure allocation of vehicles/drivers based on the\r\npeculiarity of Client’s requests.
- Direct supervision of truck loadings to ensure\r\naccuracy in items, as well as conformance to loading patterns in order to\r\nprevent the likelihood of damage to materials or products during transit.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, collect all waybills\r\nand proof of delivery (PODs) from delivery sites across the country leveraging\r\nfield officers.
- Ensure the products are delivered to customers in a\r\ntimely manner
- Meet all client needs and deliverables according to\r\nproposed timelines.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Key clients’\r\nneeds and requirements
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Resolve any issues faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
- Rapidly build a wide trucker base across major regions in Nigeria.
- Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with
- Collaborate with sales team, advertising,logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
Qualifications, Skills& Competencies
- HND/B.Sc. in Transport & Logistics Management or other related fields.
- Proven access to a network of truckers in strategic regions of the country.
- Experience with 3rd Party Logistics will be a strong advantage.
- Cognate 3-7 years’ work experience in logistics and transportation, with a proven network of truckers across Nigeria.
- Relevant professional certification in Transport in Nigeria. E.g. National Institute of Transport & Logistics is an added advantage.
- Strong practical knowledge of Nigeria fleet andtransport legislation / compliance requirements for the transport industry.
- Extensive knowledge of route planning and Driver management.
- Experience in Truck types and models, costs, utilization and management peculiarities.
- Experience in Truck tracking and fleet maintenance systems.
- Specialist knowledge in truck management.
- Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent relationship management.
Senior Transport Officer – Lagos
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
