Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Directly supporting the Corporate Financial Manager with planning, structuring and execution of engagements and transactions within the Corporate Finance
  • Serve as focal point on all Cost-benefit analysis, financial models and other financial analysis as may be directed with guidance from Corporate Financial Manager
  • Conduct research, and where necessary, due diligence with regards to acquisition targets for potential Merger & Acquisition activities.
  • Monitor key financial performance indicators of operating entities based on approved forecasts/budget.
  • Prepare presentations on the company and its divisions.
  • Work closely with Sahara Power finance teams in alignment with Group finance objectives.
  • Assist Corporate Financial Manager in loan administration and management reporting.

Requirements

  • HND/B. Sc in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or any finance-related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years relevant work experience within a similar role.
  • Membership of any relevant professional body e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CFA etc. is an added advantage.

Boiler Turbine Generator (BTG-Operator)

Job Description

  • Operates and Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operation of the Turbine and Boiler, during shift duties
  • Coordinate Physical inspection /condition monitoring of equipment in the turbine and boiler sections of the plant
  • Oversee minor adjustments/repairs as required
  • Plan resource requirements during shift duties –manpower and operations materials
  • Unit manpower utilization and allocation during shift duties
  • Coordination with other team leads for ensuring efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering from an accredited/ reputable university
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in a power plant with at least 3 years in position of Supervisor with at least 200MW plant

Operations & Maintenance Technician

Job Description

  • Ordinary National Diploma in any of the following Engineering Fields (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Production, Metallurgic and Material) Engineering or any other related Engineering field.
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience in any organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of the basic principles of power generation
  • Knowledge of industry, plant, company, equipment, scientific, technical, tool, safety, and personnel terminology.
  • Knowledge of how systems interrelate and the impact of this interrelationship on plant operations.
  • Knowledge of the location of equipment, basic knowledge of how the equipment operates and normal operating parameters.
  • Ability to observe and identify abnormalities and deviations.
  • Ability to identify and report out of compliance or unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to measure and take readings accurately.
  • Ability to recognize types, shapes, and sizes of materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the relevant safety standards, regulations and procedure

Government Relations and Business Development Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage professional relationships with all existing customers, prospective customers, governmental agencies/bodies and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the process of statutory documentation and regulatory oil & gas license renewals with government agencies.
  • Research and monitor government activities that could affect the organisation’s business and clients.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained.
  • Promote Asharami’s products/services to address and predict clients’ objectives .
  • Collaborate with sales & marketing team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Maintain a strong ethical relationship between Asharami and relevant institutions/ bodies with a view to ensure the long-term viability of the business.
  • Maintain effective corporate relationship with key stakeholders at the Federal, State and Local Government level.
  • Stay abreast of recent industry trends and seek opportunities that exist with government agencies.
  • Provide support and advise leadership team in identifying and resolving issues with the relevant stakeholders
  • Perform Adhoc duties as advised by the company.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. degree in Social Sciences or Management Science.
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in similar role
  • Proficiency in Hausa Language is an added advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
