Event Manager

Job Description

  • Developing an event marketing strategy including goals and objectives
  • Managing the design and production of flyers, brochures, posters, banners, and other print materials used for marketing events
  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
  • Gathering information about the client’s objectives, budget and preferences
  • Coordinate all operations
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure that all materials and systems are available in time for the event
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur during event
  • Developing event feedback surveys.
  • Gather feedback and data after event and using it to inform decisions, future plans and promote event.
  • Handling post-event reports.
  • Researching trends in event planning to develop new ideas for future events
  • Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports.

Education, Experience & Technical Skills

  • B.Sc in Marketing or any related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in the events industry, ideally as an event manager
  • Proven results in planning or leading successful and profitable events
  • Excellent communication skills and networking ability
  • Demonstrates good teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Financial Accountant

Principal Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Prepares the Outlets / Divisional books of accounts, including General ledger, Trial Balance and Balance Sheet
  • Prepare the Outlet / Divisional Budget
  • Constantly review the Head Office Department / Divisional Budget to ensure budgetary discipline is maintained
  • Monitors stock in the Outlet and ensures all stock items in the monthly inventory are properly valued
  • Keeps accounts for individual warehouse Trade and Sundry Creditors and Debtors and ensures that balances agree with general ledger
  • Ensure inter Outlet transfers, and transfers with Head Office are reconciled monthly, and that supporting documents are sent to all parties concerned, including Tastee Pot Limited
  • Monitor the Main Cashier and ensure that all receipts are duly receipted and that sales proceeds are banked intact
  • Prepare monthly details of lodgments and send to the Group Finance Manager
  • Monitor the Petty Cashier and ensure all payments are properly coded and correctly posted and that monthly balances are in agreement with general ledger
  • Attend to the company’s payment procedure to ensure that payment documents are properly scrutinized and that valid payments are timely made and recorded in the company Books of Accounts. In other words, ensure all payments whether from cash are duly authorized and approved and are supported by authentic documents (invoices, GRB, Waybills) duly verified by the Internal Auditor
  • Maintain bank books, where a bank account is domiciled in the Outlet, and ensure the accounts are fully reconciled with bank statements, and that balances agree with the general ledger
  • Send invoices with supporting documents to the Group Accounts Manager for payment by cheque
  • Ensure that procedures for all Financial Data capture and entry into the computerized accounting system including authorization are followed as laid down to ensure authenticity and completeness of accounting information data capture and entry to system
  • Ensures that information processing by the computer system is satisfactory and in consonance with predetermined norms
  • Ensure that financial information output emanating from the system is checked, agree with predetermined norms and reviewed for reasonableness and accurate reporting
  • Ensure that all relevant financial information indicating results and performance together with supporting schedules is prepared and presented to Management and other sundry users on a predetermined regular basis
  • Attend to internal control issues to ensure that activities within the department comply with laid down systems and procedures and deviations promptly noted and attended to
  • Carry out Ad – hoc review of these systems and procedures and brings areas of improvement to Management attention
  • Ensure proper control on Capital and Revenue Expenditure
  • Ensures accurate timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and Annual Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Accounts and various other periodical reports needed to enhance effectiveness and efficient Management decision making
  • Carry out other related assignments as may be directed by the Finance Controller

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Economics, Finance or relevant degree (M.Sc is an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a Financial Accountant (QSR/Audit firmis a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Human Resources Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all HR functions at the outlet.
  • Act as the intermediary officer between the outlet and the central HR by handling HR duties at the outlet level and reporting to the central HR personnel for expedition of action and/or advice.
  • Disseminate of management’s directives to the staff of the outlet.
  • Prepare outlet mid month and monthly reports as well as nominal role i.e. a document with the vital information of every staff.
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and contributing to the hiring process
  • Immediate report of urgent information in case of emergency (flash report).
  • Report staff exit to the central HR (resignation or abscondment).
  • Follow up on staff matters from the head office.
  • Maintain staff welfare; making sure they are properly registered to the HMO so as to access quality healthcare when needed.
  • Maintain of the outlet notice board by making sure old memos are removed and making sure the attention of staff are drawn to latest directives from the management
  • Daily routine check on staff to ensure compliance to management’s directives.
  • Monitor staff appearance and grooming.
  • Lateness/ Absenteeism report
  • Requisite for nametags and I D cards from the admin department.
  • Uniform Requisition and Administration.
  • Maintain the outlet first aid box; ensuring it is not short in supply.
  • Provide stationery items for staff in the outlet.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or its relevant.
  • Minimum of 1 year progressive relevant experience.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office.
