Description
- We are looking for a candidate who is highly experienced with Forklift and warehouse operations,
- He or She will be responsible for the safe operation of a 5-ton forklift and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routine checks of the forklift, whilst providing assistance with loading, offloading, sorting, and other warehouse operations/activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and transport materials, products, and goods within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring that materials are handled safely and without damage.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Use forklifts to stack, palletize, and organize materials in an efficient and organized manner, optimizing storage space.
- Ensure that materials are handled and transported in a way that preserves their quality and prevents damage.
- Complete relevant paperwork and documentation related to material handling and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other team members, including warehouse staff, supervisors, and other personnel, to ensure the smooth flow of materials and goods.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as refueling, oil changes, and cleaning, to keep them in good working condition.
- Stay updated on forklift operating procedures, safety regulations, and best practices and provide training to new forklift operators as needed.
Requirements
Education:
- Minimum requirement of an Ordinary National Diploma
Experience:
- At least 3 years experience with a minimum of 2 years working in an inventory management-related role
- Experience handling goods/equipment in an appropriate manner
- Candidates with risk management & HSE experience are preferred
Language Proficiency: English.
Skills
- Knowledge of daily maintenance of forklifts.
- Handling goods/equipment in an appropriate manner.

- Reconciliation and Inventory management skills.
- Effective written & verbal Communication skills

HSE certification is an advantage.
