We need to review minimum wage – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has hinted at the necessity of reevaluating the national minimum wage in order to align it with present-day circumstances.

During a meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), led by Chairman Hope Uzodinma, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, Tinubu emphasized the importance of enhancing the welfare of Nigerians as a primary objective of his administration.

He expressed the need to conduct a careful analysis and introspection regarding the minimum wage, taking into account the nation’s revenue sources and allocations.

Tinubu’s statement follows his recent decision to terminate the fuel subsidy program in the country.
