Job Description
- The Welding and Fabrication Supervisor will manage and communicate job expectations and performance requirements to the welding team, Initiate, coordinate, and enforce production, safety, quality, systems, policies, and procedures.
Duties
- Ensure materials are received promptly from store for week plan and sign off.
- Report materials shortages and follow up on it, to get it solved.
- Ensure daily/weekly adherence of production plan.
- Ensure timely start of daily work and materials are received promptly by section for weekly plan.
- Manage staff workflow to recover loss due to absenteeism/Machine breakdown.
- Ensure all staff in your section are always following all safety and quality procedure and guideline.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and machine in your section.
- Maintain a conducive working environment and good relationship amongst the personnel in your section.
- Organize periodic on the job training for welders and grinders to improve quality of product. Training & developing your second line.
- Gathering and analyzing information from shop floor to identify root causes in resolving constrain to avoid delay in production.
- Carry out and report weekly and monthly floor inventory of materials to tally with AX.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a B.Eng. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Welding, or related courses.
- Must have 5-7 years cognate experience.
- Must demonstrate good team management ability.
