Women Development Centre Tasks New Students on Good Conduct, Excellence

The Director of Lagos State Women Development Centre (WDC), Mrs. Olufunke Adeleye Segun has tasked newly admitted students of the centre with good comportment and stellar performance in their quest to acquire new skills for empowerment and financial independence.

Segun, who gave the charge on Tuesday at an ‘Orientation Talk’ organised for the second batch of the Year 2023 new intake, said “our centre values respect, responsibility and excellence. I, therefore, urge you to imbibe these values and interact with your fellow students and staff of the centre cordially and respectfully for a mutually beneficial experience”.

She further stated that the centre will not condone fighting, loitering, littering or any other misdemeanour as all students are expected to conform to the laid down rules and regulations of the facility.

The Director assured the students that the centre will provide the guidance, support and motivation they need for a successful skill acquisition programme.

“As you enrol here to develop new skills, I encourage you to reach out to your instructors and classmates for support and collaboration when necessary in order to achieve your full potential and goals”. she added.

She affirmed that, although the training is tuition-free, students are, however, expected to provide materials for their practical sessions.

While wishing them a memorable and successful programme, Segun implored them to take ownership of their learning and the facility
