Zamfara state government receives Jangebe schoolgirls abducted by bandits

Zamfara state government this morning March 2 received the Zamfara school girls who just regained freedom from their captors.

Recall that 317 schoolgirls of Government Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamfara State, were abducted by bandits on Friday, February 26.

The state governor, Bello Matawalle, via his social media handle, announced that he received the girls this morning.

He tweeted “Alhamdulillah! It gladdens my heart to announce the release of the abducted students of GGSS Jangebe from captivity. This follows the scaling of several hurdles laid against our efforts. I enjoin all well-meaning Nigerians to rejoice with us as our daughters are now safe”
