Zlatan Ibrahimovic Slams Ronaldo’s Latest Record

Having lifted the Premier League and La Liga trophy, the Portuguese, Cristiano Ronaldo has now added the Serie A title to his collection with his new club Juventus.

However, not everyone has shared into Ronaldo’s achievements as the Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic nullifying Ronaldo’s achievements which make a whole lot of sense.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swedish striker – who has bagged titles in four countries (Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France) – took umbrage with the idea that Ronaldo’s Madrid departure was motivated by a desire to test himself in another league.

“Ronaldo talks about challenges but he decided to go to a club who have been winning the Serie A title with their eyes closed!” Ibra legitimately pointed out.”

Yes, Ronaldo has bagged titles in different leagues. But his method in achieving that is ought to be questioned with the level of teams he used. Zlatan Ibrahimovic had this to say, too;

“Why did he not choose a club from a second division a few years ago? Try to become a champion with such a second-division [club] and lead them to the highest level.

“Moving to Juventus is not a challenge at all.”

Juventus was already lifting trophies – seven in a row – before Ronaldo came on board. Should he be credited with helping Juventus lift the trophy, when he failed to give Juventus what they have set their eyes on for quite a while now – the Champions League title?

No doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player. Different country, same result: a domestic title for the Portuguese superstar.

He also felt that he should be commended for widening his horizons once again, even using his latest transfer as leverage to take shots at his great rival, Lionel Messi, who looks more than likely to spend his entire career at Barcelona.

“I’ve played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and for my national team, while he’s still in Spain,” said Ronaldo.

“Maybe he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge. I like it and I like to make people happy.”
